One of the questions that came up today was why we still have a mask mandate for outdoors. I agree that this is a problem. Rochelle answered that CDC is re-examining this issue. I feel that we should obviously say that if a person is out alone outside, they do not need to wear a mask. • Important issue brought to my attention regarding potential far right wing coming after me. It appears that a few of the far right grantees of NIAID are joining with the radical right wing people in the public as well as people in the Congress such as congressman Jim Jordan and Senator Rand Paul to try and connect me with the virus from WUHAN. In fact, David Morens has heard that these people are trying to "bring me down" .. They are saying that I deliberately worked with the Chinese together with Peter Daszak to create a virus that would be released to the world. This sounds very much like a way-out conspiracy theory, which it is. However, there are enough crazy people around to make this a problem.
