CDC and Walensky under criticism for their recent guidelines for opening schools since they are really quite confusing. They say open the schools but the guidelines show that 85-90% of the country is in the "red" zone and therefore, should hold off on opening. I believe that this is typical CDC confusion and lack of clear crisp guidelines no matter who is CDC Director. Also, the are pitting (a little) what I am saying against what VP Harris is saying. VP saying that we have to "start from scratch" in the vaccine roll out and I have been saying that some things were done well such as the mechanism for shipping vaccines. I reconcile this by saying that the mechanisms for getting doses into people's arms were in bad shape when the Biden team came in. The press are accepting this.
