22 September 2020 1.There are 2 red states -- test positivity greater than >10% SC, UT 2.There are 8 orange states -- 8-10% test positivity -- 1D, KS, MO, MT, NE, OK, SD, WI 3.There are 15 yellow states -- 5-7.9% test positivity -- AL, AR, FL, GA, IA, KY, MN, MS, NC, ND, NV, TN, TX, VA, WV 4.Test positivity is rising in UT, WI, WY, ND, OR, NH, CT, WV, NJ, 5.Positivity at 10% or close to 10% in most of the Heartland and continues to increase 6.We are laser focus on those with increasing cases and high community spread -- the red and orange states -- most of these states were experiencing high community spread prior to their universities opening -- universities have further contributed in these states. The majority of orange states have both inadequate mitigation and inadequate surveillance on their campuses 7.Cases and deaths both increasing week over week -- driven by the yellow states -- most university cases are stabilizing or declining so cases should begin to decline if community spread can be prevented and mortality should decline as the original red states (CA, TX, FL, GA) mortality declines 8.1 have included an analysis of CLI and ILI and its utility -- see slides 22-34 -- we continue to collect this data but it has significant limitations as noted.
