Today was an historic day for me in that the White House comms team led by Karine Jean-Pierre and Kevin Munoz arranged for me to be part of the press briefing from the White House briefing room podium. it turned out to be a celebration of my nearly 40 years getting briefings at the White House. The moving part about it was that both Karine and Kevin were brought to tears when they said goodbye to me after the briefing. In addition, all of the press room personnel wanted selfies with me before I left. In addition, the briefing room was packed with media people who are there to hear the latest update on COVID but they directed most of their questions to me related to my retirement, my legacy, and other things that had direct relation to me.
