The object of the present agre:
ind science worldwide,
through the collaboration between the French Ministry of Culture and the Dan David Prize. The Ministry will
endeavor to promote the Dan David Prize within the scientific community and other relevant communities in
France and internationally.
According to the agreement, the Dan David Prize Award Ceremony will, as in the past, take place at Tel Aviv
University this year, and in 2007 will take place in Paris, subsequently alternating between Tel Aviv and Paris
each year.
The French Opera Garnier of Paris will host the ceremony when in Paris, providing also an artistic performance
from its renowned repertoire.
Heading this joint project from France is the French Minister of Culture, Mr. Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres,
assisted by his counsellor, Mr. Jean d'Haussonville.
Mr. Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, in his capacity as Minister of Culture, will the join the Dan David Prize
Board, in addition to Professor Pierre-Gilles de Gennes of the Institut Curie, who will join the Board as a
permanent member.
