SALAZAR: Well, you said that you didn't know how the P3 -- or I can't remember -- the process worked prior, when it was an NIH decision, and you just sent them what you believed, and then they would make the ultimate decision. DR. BARIC: Well, you would realize it would be a conflict of interest if I participated in such a discussion. We would have a very different conversation here, and the conversation would be do you think it's right that I would be in the committee meeting advocating for my own research.
