There are two follow up activities for which your help is required. First, please forward to Erica McCurdy i @hhs.gov) a lead point of contact and alternate for further follow up on the Review. Second, your support to white paper development will be most helpful. To add some further detail to today's conversation, Dr. Lurie recognizes a great deal of analysis has already taken place that is directly and indirectly related to our problem statement. She plans to commission a few white papers to synthesize all of this work and to tee up key issues. In addition to analyses about how our current strategy has served us well and how it hasn't, she is interested in an exploration of economic and market incentives for all stages of the Enterprise, how to get the right players to the table with the right economics and incentives, what is the best model to the get the science done and pay for the science and how do we optimize programs and investments across the federal government. These white papers will serve as the foundation for a few workshops in February. While our conversation this morning is fresh in your minds, please forward key questions you think these white papers should address/answer to me and Monique Mansoura by 1000 tomorrow. Thanks and please let me now if you have any questions. R/Casey
