JOINT STIPULATION OF FACTS The parties in the above-captioned matter hereby stipulate to the following facts for the purposes of this litigation. PARTIES 1. Plaintiff People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals ("PETA") is a nonprofit animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals. PETA's public education and campaign activities have a particular focus on animal mistreatment in laboratories, the food industry, the clothing trade, and the entertainment industry, as well as other issues including cruelty to domesticated animals and animals who are often considered "pests."
