In an interview with CNN on August 29, 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned against using
the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin to treat or prevent a COVID-19
infection.' Fauci stated:
"Don't do itThere's no evidence whatsoever that it works and it could potentially have
toxicity... with people who have gone to poison control centers because they've taken
the drug at a ridiculous dose and wind up getting sick. There's no clinical evidence that
indicates that this works."
On January 11, 2022, Fauci testified to lawmakers that there have been mixed
guidelines about the use of ivermectin against COVID-19 from different health agencies
around the world, and guidance issued by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
previously concluded there was not enough evidence to say whether it is effective
against COVID-19. ?
