The Gates Foundation commitment is $20 million. ¢ NIH and the Gates Foundation also are co-supporting an African Post-Doctoral Training Initiative (APTI) within the intramural program. The Gates Foundation commitment over six years is $2 million. The NIH commitment over that timeframe is $2.2 million I'm unsure if the attached document would be useful to you, given the nature of the request, but if so, attached is a sampling of recent highlights/developments in the NIH-Gates cooperation, including the HIV vaccine cooperation
