hazards against U.S. and partner forces in peacetime and battlefield environments;

Specially developed capabilities to neutralize WMD threats worldwide.

Offensive Operations

Plan operations;

Detect and identify WMD and delivery system targets;

Employ offensive capabilities against WMD and delivery system targets with little or no
collateral effects;

Response/Consequence Management
•
Decontamination and remediation capabilities to initiate or sustain U.S. and partner military
operations following WMD use;

Capabilities to respond, mitigate and restore other services following WMD use inside or
outside United States;

Procedures and systems to ensure effective communication and coordination with partner
civil and military authorities, other U.S. Federal agencies, U.S. state and local authorities.
General

Cooperative activities with international partners to improve their capabilities, and heighten
their contribution, to all aspects of combating WMD: prevention/nonproliferation;
protection/counterproliferation; and response/consequence management.
