Chaired for last time (historic) by Sen. Tom Harken (DIO). I have been testifying before Sen. Harken for every one of the 25 years that he has been in the Senate as a member, Chair, or Ranking Minority of this committee. Present were Sen. Mikulski, Shelby (ranking minority of full committee), Moran (R-KS). It was a love fest for NIH, but there is not going to be any new money for NIH (~0.7% increase over 2014) because of budget constraints on discretionary spending.
