   I am starting to think that a variation on the "intermediate host" may be a good explanation for a lot of the data. The new MacLean2021 paper very important. Doubtless SC2 is very pantropic [generalist]. No need to evoke apermanent reservoir in the wild. Several animals {raccoon dogs] could act as a "vector" simply transferring SC2 tohumans from a bat in a one-off transfer. Animal-to-animal transfer of SC2 on Daszak's Animal Farms [another classic lit reference] or during transport to Wuhan could have resulted a couple of introductions into two Wet Marketsin Wuhan (One with lineage A and the Huanan Market getting lineage B.
