@Eddie Holmes Yes undiscussed black arrow very important- Very good points! You wouldn't have much incentive to try and culture until you knew there was a virus and had at least enuff sequence data to suggest it was interesting. Plus if you culture you tend to lose the FCS and the QTQTNS landing pad. Culturing also is going to move you toBSL3 - no undergrads touching their faces. The black arrow moves it into tinfoil hat territory in that you then clearly are saying that they knew they had something and chose not to tell anyone.

@Eddie Holmes PLus - at the same time Alina is saying - well it's been over a year why haven't you found the reservoir, it must have come from a lab - she also is saying that we must all stop looking for the reservoir because that activity is too dangerous and we may start a new pandemic.
