I hate to link to this crap, but Yuri and friends wrote a paper: [shared file(s): 2102.03910.pdf]

@Eddie Holmes Mark them as pissed - and typical Alina it's all about the bribes to reporters etc. [shared file(s): image.png]

@Robert Garry @Peterfoodsafety is the lead from WHO so I guess I just answered my own question about the frozen fish...
-
My expectations were low. It's actually worse than you might expect.
-
Thinking how angry they must be this morning really warms my heart. It's pretty great that the WHO have said that the lab escape idea is not worth further discussion.
-
Yes - a bad day for Alina and the DRASTIC krewe. The frozen food thing is weak and looks like a concession to the Chinese. Other than that OK - Hard to listen to the video....
-
Totally agree about the frozen food thing - must be a concession. That and the Thai study is a heavy blow. I'm particularly pleased by the pangolin results. Bob - I couldn't access the Google Doc as I don't have permission.

Lin-Fa's paper is out. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-21240-1

It says anyone with this link can access the paper..
-
I think I have both your gmail and .edu emails as editors. But Kristian is right - sometimes tech uses me instead ofthe other way around...
-
Have at it - nothing written in stone - I do think there are some relevant things to add in a timely way to the WHO report including the impact of the Thai and other viruses...
-
Yes, Linfa's paper is another blow to the lab escape looms
-
Loons as well
-
The WHO guy is @PeterFoodSafety so I think he might be carrying some strong priors.
-
Good point
-
They are clear though - Lab Escape is "extremely Unlikely."

Does the link work for you now Eddie?
-
It does! Thanks Bob!
-
Thank you Eddie - I don't think any of Cambo, Thai and Japan bat papers quite link everything together. Needs to bedone...
-
I agree.
