Andrew - this sounds like the plot of a great movie. M. Night Shyamalan, Christopher Nolan or Martin Scorsese who have done some great twist endings could direct.

It was like an idea I had for a short story: that the US and Russia had a pact that if their leaders ever tried to trigger anuclear war they would be taken down to a bunker and told they can never leave because of radiation. And the world would just get on without knowing. JFK was down there and they staged his assassination with a body double. Sadly I don't write short stories.

Yeah - Berenson comes off as the more "rational" one. And, people still wonder how Trump got 72M votes. Speaking of making money from short stories. Berenson has sold literally 100s of thousands of his three 30 page TRUTH ABOUT COVID wonders. That's a lot of $$$.

WE should write a book (31 pages?) TRUTH ABOUT COVID and just make it all up - say we were wrong in our paper and such. We'd make millions!

Writing a book is the alternative path from PO2 - yes we'd make millions...Eddie's story about is his "radical" email [great job by Eric Topol on the twitter today] would drive the price up for the screenplay all by itself.
