Very interesting article... I have a *really* hard time believing that George didn't know until 12/30 - that seems, well, surprising.

It's also counter to what I heard. We'll see. George is really after Zhang at the moment: his grants have been blocked in a pathetic display of revenge. Egos are out of control. Not sure the National Health Commission are goingto like this article. Will be interesting to watch the fall-out.

Agree - very dumb - layer on top the idiots currently in charge of US-China policy. Gao is wrong about GVP, but some more Bat CoV sequencing would be prudent.
