According to the Dan David Foundation website, The Dan David Prize covers three-time dimensions - Past, Present and Future - that represent realms of human achievement. Each year the International Board chooses one field within each time dimension since 2002. Nominees are evaluated by reviewing the importance of the work, its impact and its projected influence in the relevant field. https://www.dandavidprize.org/about/about-the-prize. It has been confirmed that the Review Committees are indeed independent from the Tel Aviv University and chaired by international experts. Expected to attend the award ceremony and virtual symposium at which recipients are expected to give a presentation. Presentations are talks about their work over the course of their careers, rather than current science and theory. The award was found to comply with 2635.204(d). Also confirmed that the organization is not seeking official action from the employee, subordinate, or agency under the employee's official responsibility (5501.111). The gifts associated with the award include a $900,000 cash prize which have been found to be permissible and are not prohibited under the Emoluments Clause, nor the Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act. The Dan David Foundation and the website confirm that the 2021 Review Committee (See page 24-27) selected by the Dan David Foundation and the Foundation's Board (See pages 24-27) is responsible for the selection the Laureates.
