# Transcript

**[2021-07-15T06:46:33] Andrew Rambaut:** @Robert Garry - would be good to fix the issue with the map. Do you have your original one that I adapted?

**[2021-07-15T06:49:37] Robert F. Garry:** I think this is the one [shared file(s): Wuhan combined v4.ai]

**[2021-07-15T07:08:51] Andrew Rambaut:** Are you happy with the locations in that version?

**[2021-07-15T07:22:18] Andrew Rambaut:** Here is a version with each set in layers. If we can use that to get the points right, then it will be easy to build the full figure [shared file(s): map.ai]

**[2021-07-15T07:37:18] Andrew Rambaut:** I haven't got perfect alignment but here is the map overlaid on the maps from the Annex. Definitely some tweaks wecould make I think. [shared file(s): image.png]

**[2021-07-15T07:37:57] Andrew Rambaut:** Here is the Illustrator version of the above. [shared file(s): map.ai]

**[2021-07-15T07:39:22] Andrew Rambaut:** All the different panels from Fig 17 on page 156 are there. I also put in the other figure which shows which are market related.

**[2021-07-15T07:40:10] Andrew Rambaut:** Once we get this aligned, we can remake the full figure. We can also release this as our 'raw' data.

**[2021-07-15T07:49:33] Robert F. Garry:** Looks good and releasing this as raw data a good idea. A few need to be nudged, especially the lowest blue dot nearest to WIV and several of the green ones slightly. Also need to note that some dots outside of Wuhan proper are not shown.

**[2021-07-15T07:58:41] Andrew Rambaut:** I can't believe how bad those maps are - deliberately perhaps?

**[2021-07-15T07:58:49] Andrew Rambaut:** (I mean the ones in the report)

**[2021-07-15T08:00:45] Robert F. Garry:** Ours may not be perfect, but at least they are readable.

**[2021-07-15T08:00:50] Andrew Rambaut:** Is the market location from the WHO report map too? It and the first two cases may be a little bit off...

**[2021-07-15T08:00:54] Andrew Rambaut:** shared file(s): image.png

**[2021-07-15T08:01:18] Andrew Rambaut:** But it is that vague greenish patch so who knows

**[2021-07-15T08:01:23] Andrew Rambaut:** WHO knows

**[2021-07-15T08:27:11] Robert F. Garry:** One problem is the Yangtze river - it's quite massive and not indicated at all in the who map. So the spots are moreor less on the bank of the river i guess. *They could also be nudged a bit though.* When I placed them i think I had the underlaying WHO map a bit more to the left, which would line things up a little better.
