# Transcript

**[2020-10-26T14:37:22] Kristian G. Andersen:** Rebel :tada: https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/virus-rebel-professor-edward-holmes-named-nsw-scientist-of-the-year-20201 026-p568qj.html

**[2020-10-26T14:46:13] Edward C. Holmes:** Jesus. Embarrassing. The pics were taken in the soil lab as mine is PC2 (and I do have a lab before you ask). Bob -love those feline viruses! Bloody great.

**[2020-10-26T15:04:40] Andrew Rambaut:** Love the random glassware. Surprised they didn't fill them with coloured liquids.

**[2020-10-26T15:09:11] Kristian G. Andersen:** Worth pointing out that glassware like that is used for (a) chemistry experiments and (b) bacterial culture. At least they don't have him holding a pipette upside down (and I'll point out that the glassware is pointing in the right direction too).

**[2020-10-26T15:10:47] Andrew Rambaut:** Can I tweet it? Would be good to get out the bit about pissing off the Chinese Authorities! But I don't want to wind upthe tin foilers if it will make things worse.

**[2020-10-26T15:11:09] Andrew Rambaut:** I see it is already out there...

**[2020-10-26T15:12:24] Kristian G. Andersen:** Oli beat you to it - obviously.

**[2020-10-26T15:12:51] Andrew Rambaut:** And David Robertson. But not sure either of them are followed by the tin foil people

**[2020-10-26T15:13:04] Kristian G. Andersen:** David for sure is.

**[2020-10-26T15:13:31] Kristian G. Andersen:** Is that a huge bag of Renminbi next to him though? And does that flask say RaTG18?

**[2020-10-26T15:14:33] Robert F. Garry:** AWESOME!

**[2020-10-26T15:51:58] Edward C. Holmes:** I really should have written RaTG18 on one of those flasks. Damn. Next time.

**[2020-10-26T15:57:49] Edward C. Holmes:** Wow, it's getting bigger than Watergate: [shared file(s): image (1).png]

**[2020-10-26T16:03:06] Andrew Rambaut:** Bonkers

**[2020-10-26T16:05:18] Edward C. Holmes:** A perfect pictorial depiction of a conspiracy theory.

**[2020-10-26T16:07:01] Andrew Rambaut:** Officially it is called a 'wall of crazy': https://www.esquire.com/uk/culture/film/news/a7703/detective-show-crazy-walls/

**[2020-10-26T16:10:57] Edward C. Holmes:** Love it.
